Fact-Checking Policy

What we check

Before publication we verify specifications, prices, dates, model names, and any factual claim a reader might act on — especially in buying guides and comparisons.

How we check it

Against primary sources wherever possible: manufacturer specification pages and press materials, regulatory filings, and official documentation. Comparison tables state the market, model year, trim, testing standard (such as EPA or WLTP for range figures), source, and the date the figures were confirmed, because these details differ by country.

News stories

For news, we require the announcement or event to have actually occurred and be verifiable. Single-source claims are treated with caution and labeled accordingly.

When we are unsure

If a fact cannot be verified, we either leave it out or clearly label it as unconfirmed. We do not fill gaps with guesses presented as facts.
